Returning to "Normal"

We are grateful for our loyal customers, communities, and our Bassett family.  Our 118 years of experience have taught us we can navigate uncertain times – by being realistic yet optimistic, and hopeful as we see signs of gathering and smiles.  

While we look with hope to the future, the last year’s challenges are still proving tough for our suppliers and transportation partners.  We thank you for your understanding as we continue to have longer than normal lead times.

Delivery + Delays 

We are excited to start moving back to normal, yet the effects of the last year are continuing to challenge our suppliers and transportation partners.  We, like many industries, are experiencing longer than normal lead times and appreciate your patience as we work to improve.   

Delivery estimates can be found on specific product pages and your local store will be happy to communicate about the details of your order.   

Once you’ve found your perfect piece, we look forward to delivering your custom Bassett Furniture order.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken extra safety measures to minimize risk to you and our delivery team. 

Why is furniture taking so long?
Bassett, like many industries, is feeling the effects of a global supply chain strain.  Even with over 75% of our products crafted in North Carolina and Virginia, the raw materials we use to craft your pieces, such as lumber and upholstery foam, are in short supply.  The transportation system is also feeling pandemic after-effects of unprecedented demand as customers make purchases that had been put off earlier in the year.   
Should I order early?
Absolutely – we encourage preparing for your events with friends and family earlier this year.  Once your order is placed, you’ll secure your place in the queue.  
How will I know when my order is ready?
As always, we’ll communicate with you every step of the way.  Should any unanticipated delay arise, we’ll reach out to you right away with an update.  If you need to reach out to check on an order status, your local store will be more than happy to assist.   


In-Store Safety

We can’t wait to see smiles - mask requirements are being followed per state and local regulations for both our customers and team members and your local store may no longer require masks.  While Bassett stores are all open, some may have limited hours when required by state or local orders.  

As requirements are changing frequently, your local store will be happy to answer specific questions about up-to-date in-store procedures

When are private in-store appointments available? Are they free?
Private in-store appointments are available anytime and can be scheduled with your local store or online.  Of course, our design appointments are always free. 
What should I expect if I book a virtual appointment?
Your designer will reach out via email and schedule a time to share ideas and inspirations back and forth through the screen of your choice.  Read more about virtual appointments and FAQ's on our blog.
I recently placed an order. Will it be delayed?

Accessories continue to ship via UPS, and your local store will contact you with all status updates. 

Are there changes in my financing?
Currently, all billing statements will be sent on a normal schedule.  If there are questions or special requests due to hardship, please contact the Wells Fargo Customer Service Center to discuss options.   Wells Fargo is currently open for normal operating hours, though may be experiencing high call volumes.
